In 2017 ITC – Community Land Initiative celebrated its 10th year of existence. To comemorate this great anniversary they approached us to produce an audiovisual and communication campaign to be launched during the 10 years conference in Maputo. The campaign consisted of a documentary film, photography, concept and layout of a report, success stories, and a ’10 steps’ poster series of how the delimitation process of community land delimitation and registration works.
For the 10 Steps we took photos during our filming trip, exemplifying the different steps, and elaborated a concept mostly based on images, with only little text. This approach makes the product suitable to also be used in the communities where ITC works, where a high percentage of the population is illiterate.
The success stories were designed mainly for the organization’s staff and partners, which is why we could explore using more text to tell the stories. To create a unified appearance across all stories we chose to work with duotone images, and icons showing the location and population where each story is situated.
